Olympic Gold Medalist Spotted Wearing Witcher Symbol

Although The Witcher saw a boom in popularity since the widespread success of Netflix's live-action adaptation, Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy world has had an enthusiastic fanbase for decades. Gold medallist Vitalina Batsarashkina is a part of that fanbase.
Batsarashkina won a gold medal for the Women's 10m and 20m air pistol and was seen accompanying the Olympic medal with a witcher medallion, though not the one longtime fans might be thinking. The Russian champion was seen wearing a medallion from the School of the Cat. According to photos that began to circulate, this is not the first time the Olympic champion has donned the witcher medallion for large sporting events.
While most fans are familiar with the School of the Wolf and the witchers of Kaer Morhen, the Continent is also home to the School of the Cat, one of several schools that splintered off from the original Order of Witchers. The School of the Cat is distinct in several ways. Firstly, it is based in Dyn Marv, a traveling caravan. The School of the Cat is also one of the few that trains women and non-pureblood humans.
Witchers from the School of the Cat employ a different style of fighting, one that revolves around speed and agility, among other things. They are looked upon as pariahs among both humans and their fellow witchers, since the school has drifted far from the principals that originally shaped them. As an example, Cat witchers take contracts on both monsters and humans, and have in the past actively engaged in warfare, where other schools remain impartial.
